Cochrane US – The Tufts Affiliate Welcomes Carson Kingsbury to the Team!

The Cochrane US network is pleased to welcome Carson Kingsbury, MPH, to the Cochrane US–Tufts collaboration. With a strong foundation in neuropsychological research and a passion for advancing understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, Carson brings valuable expertise and enthusiasm to our mission of promoting evidence-based health science.

“We’re thrilled to have Carson join the Cochrane US – Tufts team,” said Cochrane US – Tufts Lead. “His work at the intersection of neuropsychology and epidemiology reflects exactly the kind of interdisciplinary perspective that drives meaningful contributions to public health research.”

Carson is a Cochrane Fellow currently pursuing his Master of Public Health at Tufts University, concentrating in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He serves as a neuropsychological research specialist with the Framingham Heart Study, where his primary focus is on identifying biomarkers associated with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. In particular, he investigates how cognitive decline manifests in both spoken and written language production, seeking to uncover subtle changes that may serve as early indicators of disease progression

“I’m excited to contribute to Cochrane’s evidence-based mission and to collaborate with researchers dedicated to improving public health outcomes,” said Carson Kingsbury. “My work with the Framingham Heart Study has shown me how critical it is to bridge clinical data with population-level insights, and I’m looking forward to applying that perspective here.”

Before joining Tufts, Carson earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from Lasell University. His broader research interests include the neuropathology of substance use disorders and eating disorders, especially within marginalized populations. By bridging neuropsychology, epidemiology, and population health, he hopes to contribute to more equitable and mechanistically informed approaches to brain health.

“Carson’s focus on neurodegenerative disease and health equity aligns beautifully with Cochrane’s mission to make health evidence accessible and relevant to all''

We are delighted to welcome Carson to the team and look forward to the insights and energy he will bring to the Cochrane US – Tufts partnership.
