The Cochrane US Network welcomes Isha Taneja, the the inaugural fellow at the new Tufts University Cochrane US Affiliate.
Isha Taneja MBBS, MPH, holds a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from Rajasthan university of health sciences (India) and is a candidate for a master's in public health (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her ongoing Practicum at Massachusetts General Hospital, Division of Allergy and Immunology focuses on the gaps and knowledge of Pediatricians regarding NIAID addendum guidelines for early introduction of the peanut. She had both clinical and research experience. After completing medical school, she worked as a Medical officer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Gian Sagar Medical College, India. As a Clinician, she worked in the Antenatal clinics and organized special counseling sessions for pregnant women, emphasizing the importance of preventing prenatal and postnatal complications, low birth weight through diet and lifestyle modifications. She also worked as a research assistant at Detroit Medical Center, Michigan, on various projects. She coordinated and conducted family surveys focusing on the paraplegic patients' social disparities from gun-shot injury. Her research interests include maternal & child health and chronic diseases.
