Cochrane US Tufts Welcomes a new member!
If you’ve ever wondered what truly drives meaningful, lasting change in public health, look no further than Michael. His path to public health wasn't shaped solely in lecture halls or research labs, but on the front lines of emergency medical care. Working directly with underserved and vulnerable patients throughout his college years, Michael witnessed firsthand how systemic barriers impact individual lives; a perspective that ultimately inspired him to pursue a Master of Public Health at Tufts University, concentrating in Health Services Management and Policy.

Today, that same commitment to health equity fuels every study he undertakes. As a Cochrane Fellow under Dr. Jahanfar and a researcher at Texas Children’s Hospital focusing on obstetrics and gynecology, Michael bridges the gap between bedside care, scientific inquiry, and high-impact policy. Drawing on a rich background that spans economics, chemistry, genetics, and maternal health research, he dedicates his work to asking the tough questions that improve care for disabled and marginalized populations.
My clinical experience as an EMT taught me that behind every research question is a real person deserving of better health outcomes.
