The XIX annual meeting of the Ibero-American Cochrane Network is a periodic event that brings together health professionals and researchers interested in the synthesis of scientific evidence in clinical practice for decision-making. This event is held in a different country each year and has the participation of experts and health professionals from the entire Ibero-American region and from other countries in the world associated with the Cochrane Network. This year, the event is organized by the Cochrane Ecuador Associate Center as part of the UTE University, and took place from June 7 to 9, 2023 in Quito, Ecuador.
During the event, the latest evidence-based health trends were culminated and discussed through presentations and round tables on topics such as implementation and construction of clinical practice guidelines, education and knowledge transfer, informed decision-making, and more related topics. Training workshops were offered on relevant topics for the development of systematic reviews and meta-analyses, such as the search for scientific evidence, the application of GRADE, statistical analysis and modeling, among others.
A poster and oral communications contest was held on the latest systematic reviews and research papers carried out by members of the Ibero-American Cochrane network and other researchers. We are happy to announce that Ana María Rójas Gómez, mentee of the mentoring program, ranked third her presentation about the program
