Cochrane US Network welcomed Tiffany Duque in June 2020 as the new Network Senior Officer. Please read her introductory message and welcome her personally if you have the chance. She also serves as Senior Officer for Cochrane Geographic Groups.
Thank you for the warm welcome I have received to date from many of the US Network members, as well as from the Cochrane Central Executive Team. I'm honored to join such a diverse, experienced, and revered group of health professionals. I bring to this role 20 years of experience in global and US public health, mostly in the areas of research, program design and implementation, program management, and partnerships. My technical focus area is global nutrition, specifically maternal and child nutrition in vulnerable populations, though over the years I have worked with most population groups and in many countries. My US-based work has been with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Emory University, and the Department of Public Health for the city of Atlanta. Internationally, I have worked with WHO, UNICEF, Ministries of Health in Colombia and Mexico, and a number of NGOs. I currently reside in the Los Angeles area with my husband and two school-aged children. We have also lived in Atlanta, GA; Medellin, Colombia; Mexico City; and Pretoria, South Africa.
I am looking forward to working with the network members and with Cochrane globally to support the growth, development, and sustainability of a strong US Network. Please feel free to reach out to me to introduce yourself, tell me a bit about your work, and let me know how I can best be of service.
